Winter 2023 Grading Information

The timely posting of grades to students' academic records is important for student success and several business processes. The RO has extended the deadline to submit winter 2023 grades from 72 to 96 hours after the final exam for those courses impacted by the strike.

  • If grades are not reported and processed on time, students may be required to return financial aid, may become ineligible for future financial aid, or both.
  • Giving Incomplete or NR grades to extend a course for all students is not an option. Financial aid is contingent on the government’s definition of “satisfactory academic progress,” and Incomplete or NR grades do not contribute to that definition.
  • In addition to impacts on student financial support, consequences of not receiving timely grades can include:
    • Rescinded eligibility for sports and attendant financial packages.
    • Withdrawn job offers that were contingent upon successful graduation.
    • Withdrawn admission to professional and academic graduate education.
    • Delays in the issuance of diplomas.

Faculty members are asked to communicate with their relevant program chair or dean if they will have any issues submitting grades.
