The University of Michigan has partnered with Parchment, a secure and reliable electronic transcript ordering system, to enhance the ordering process. Students and alumni can track their order status, enjoy a simplified ordering experience, and choose from more options to send transcripts electronically to organizations, schools, and employers.
Ordering Official Transcripts
Currently enrolled students are encouraged to review their unofficial transcript in Wolverine Access to ensure all grades and degrees are posted before ordering an official transcript.

Transcripts With Attachments
You may upload a required document to be sent with your transcript.
Order a transcript through Parchment, select the Attach Additional Documents option on the "Enter Recipient Information" screen.
Attachments sent via electronic delivery are forwarded to the recipient without review by the Registrar's Office.
For licensing or other forms requiring Registrar's Office completion, please allow five additional business days for processing. Both the completed form and transcript will be mailed via U.S. mail, so please provide a mailing address.
Notarized Official Transcripts
Order the transcript through Parchment:
Provide a mailing address as notarized documents cannot be sent via email.
Select the Attach Additional Documents option on the "Enter Recipient Information" screen.
Upload a statement indicating that the transcript requires notarization.
Allow seven business days for processing.
Some transcripts may need an apostille from the Michigan Department of State, Office of the Great Seal. An apostille is an additional level of authentication given to a notarized document to certify that the document(s) are true. Once you receive your notarized transcript, you will need to send it to the Office of the Great Seal in Lansing to get the apostille. Our office will not send the notarized transcript directly to the Office of the Great Seal, as their office charges a small fee for their services. Their contact information is:
Michigan Department of State Office of the Great Seal 7064 Crowner Dr. Lansing, MI 48918 517-373-2531 mi.gov/sos
