The University of Michigan Office of the Registrar is committed to ensuring the integrity of the university’s academic records. We strive to enhance the educational experience by serving students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the greater community in responsible use of these data and related information systems.

We are a department of the Office of Enrollment Management, a student-centered, evidence-based, technology-driven division that is innovative in spirit and seeks to be best-in-class in all efforts. It assists and engages staff while collaborating with campus partners in support of the university's mission and commitment to academic quality, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Leadership Team

Paul Robinson
Associate Vice Provost and University Registrar

(he/him/his)

Paul has been with the Office of the Registrar since 1999. He serves as associate vice provost for enrollment management and university registrar. Paul oversees the Office of the Registrar and serves on the division’s executive leadership team. Paul has served as interim vice provost for enrollment management at the Ann Arbor and Dearborn campuses. He leads or co-leads several university-wide committees and is active in enrollment management at the state and national levels. Paul earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wayne State University.

Lisa Emery, Ph.D.
Senior Associate Registrar

(she/her/hers)

Lisa has been with the Office of the Registrar since 2014 and has responsibility for the following departments:

  • Curriculum and Scheduling
  • Degree Audit
  • Information and Data Services
  • Exam Scoring
  • Teaching Evaluations

Lisa manages the university’s academic calendar, serves on the steering committee for the Atlas system, and has participated in several cross-campus initiatives. Lisa has also worked for Information and Technology Services (ITS) as a business systems analyst and product manager for the student administrative records and admissions systems. Before coming to the University of Michigan, Lisa was a consultant for Accenture in their education division. Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master of science in information policy, both from the University of Michigan. She holds a Ph.D. in educational leadership from Eastern Michigan University.  

Brad Maki
Senior Associate Registrar

Brad has been with the Office of the Registrar since 2018 and has responsibility for the following departments:

  • Transcripts, Certification, and Diploma
  • Records and Enrollment
  • Tuition and Fees
  • Student Services

Brad also has co-responsibility for Wolverine Services, a joint operation with the Office of Financial Aid.

Brad started at the University of Michigan in 2002 on the Flint campus in the Office of Graduate Programs and served as director of graduate admissions at UM-Flint from 2005 to 2018. Brad holds an M.A. in higher, adult, and lifelong learning from Michigan State University and a B.A. from Central Michigan University.
 

Andrew Cameron
Associate Registrar

(he/him/his)

Andy has been with the Office of the Registrar since 2001 and manages the Data and Information Services area of the office. He oversees institutional student record reporting, supports student record data sets for the campus community, and is responsible for NCAA/Big 10 academic eligibility certification and related reporting for student-athletes.

Tori Laubenstine
Assistant Director for Compliance and Special Projects

Tori joined the Office of the Registrar in 2022 for the newly created position of Assistant Director for Compliance and Special Projects.

Janet Cruz
Assistant Director for Residency

(she, her, hers)

Janet joined the RO as Assistant Registrar for Residency in 2011, and supervises the team that manages the in-state tuition application process. Janet has a B.A. in English and a J.D. from Wayne State University.
