Fall and winter term rates are set in late June or July, and this website is updated soon thereafter. Rates for spring, spring/summer, and summer terms are posted in January.
A student’s individual tuition rate is calculated based on the student’s residence classification, school/college/program of enrollment, class standing, number of credit hours registered, and term of enrollment.
Use the search functions on this page to determine a particular tuition rate.
Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice by the Regents of the University of Michigan.
Due to COVID-19 or similar exigent circumstances, published tuition and fees apply regardless of the method of instruction, including in the event instruction occurs remotely or in alternative formats for any part of the academic year. In the event nonmandatory fees, like class, lab, or program fees, are substantially unconsumed or unutilized due to COVID-19, decisions for refunding such fees will be made on a case-by-case basis within the school/college.
