Winter 2020 Non-Rackham Graduate Program Grading Policies
In addition to alternative grading policies for all University of Michigan undergraduates and graduate students in the Rackham School of Graduate Studies, other graduate and professional programs outside of Rackham are also adopting alternative grading policies for winter 2020.
Most programs are adopting similar versions of the undergraduate and Rackham policies. While each program listed below is adopting one of the two policies, students should consult with their individual program for any alterations or exceptions to the policy.
Graduate programs following the Undergraduate Grading Policy:
- Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning
- Ross School of Business
- School of Dentistry
- School of Information
- School of Music, Theatre & Dance
- College of Pharmacy
Graduate programs following the Rackham Grading Policy:
- College of Engineering
- School of Public Health
The School of Social Work is adopting a new policy for the winter 2020 semester and has developed FAQs.
The Law School is adopting a mandatory pass/fail grading basis for the winter 2020 semester.
The Medical School is implementing changes to grading in select cases for the winter 2020 semester.
Graduate programs in the School of Nursing are not altering grading for the winter 2020 semester.
